SALES CONSULTANT

Sell and or lease new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.

DUTIES 

Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.

Sell and or lease and delivers a minimum of 8 units per month.

Approach, greet and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.

Explain fully, product performance, application, features, and benefits to prospective customers.

Describe optional equipment available for customer purchase.

Offer test drives to all prospects. Follow dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from the customer prior to test drive.

Utilize dealership CRM system.

Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.

Ensure that Sales Management has an opportunity to meet each customer.

Transition 100% of closed deals to Finance & Insurance Manager with proper endorsements, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).

Write complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.

Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and ALL paperwork.

Introduce customers to Service Department to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repair and maintenance available within the dealership's service department.

Schedule 1st (first) service appointment.

Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met in a timely manner.

Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.

Hearing - required, to communicate with customers.

Seeing - required, in order to show customers features on vehicles.

Bending - minimal, mostly getting in and out of vehicles.

Lifting - minimal lifting

Amount of walking required - 70% of time is spent walking or standing.

Adverse weather conditions - moderate, assisting customers on the lot.

Noise Level - moderate.


REQUIREMENTS 

High school diploma/GED

Excellent communication skills are required to interact with the customer and help them to make an educated purchasing decision

Current driver's license
